Whether sleek, sophisticated, or edgy, Parlour Owner and seasoned hairstylist, April Harper knows how to bring out the beauty in everyone. She explains hairdressing as a collaborative effort between the client and herself. “I consider myself a hair designer and design is bigger than aesthetics. I believe everything of quality starts with a clear vision, solid construction, and is perfected with artistic detail. My job is to shape your desires into a plan and translate them to a long lasting, wearable, and beautiful style.”In addition to the technical skill of her work, she loves the relationships she shares with her clients. “My clients are my friends; I care about their lives. It’s so important to me that when someone walks out of Parlour, they not only look great, but feel great, too.”
On Parlour, she says, “When I decided to open my own salon, the theme that consistently resonated with me was the idea of creating something new, but also paying homage to the history of the beauty industry -- the old time beauty parlours. That’s what Parlour is all about.” April’s artistic, balance and versatility are clearly displayed in the customized styles her clients wear; always fresh and fashionably relevant, yet classic and sophisticated, much like the stylist, herself.
